Nodding Head Brewery and Restaurant

Stopped in last Monday evening while spending the night/next day in Philly. If you're not careful you might miss the place from the street. It's on the second floor. Sat at the bar and started with their Home Alone, a Belgian-style ale. Was pretty good but nothing exceptional. Then went to the Zephyr, an altbier. Again, okay. Then tried the cask al...

While visiting friends in Post Falls, I was delighted to find a place to watch my University of Kentucky football game. I read the online review of Capone's and called to make sure they had the game. They were friendly on the phone, and the service at the establishment was excellent. While I am not a beer drinker, the food that I had was really goo...

The Peekskill Brewery

I went here for dinner on my birthday and was impressed. It has a nice size resturant with a nice bar which is separated by a small brewery. The workers were very friendly and knowledgrable. The food was execelant with a nice variety of different styles. The tap beer selection was small but good with a nice mix of their beers and other beers. ...

Northwoods Brewpub and Grill

If a pie shop opened a brewpub.... well they did, this one. Stopped here four years ago. The got the pizza and a pitcher of beer special. Pizza was cold and tastless, on a par-baked, pre-made crust. Beer was infected. This time had the 'portobella sandwich' which came exactly as described, a couple of slices of raw mushroom on toasted grocery ...

Iron Springs Pub and Brewery

Thought I'd give this place a bit more ink. They had 14 house brews on tap on this visit. Would have gone 'awesome' on the quality but their Octoberfest was flat and tasteless. The IPA and stout made up for that. Food menu is a little lacking but the quality is there. Was there on a Saturday afternoon and the cyclists were there in abundance. The A...

Since I went to Laslo's specifically to eat lunch, I am rating the experience base don the food - I had an open faced ruben, with a salad, and a lemonade - it cost me $13.26 which in of itself is pretty outrageous for the small portion served, not to mention that the quality was one of the worst I've ever had - the corned beef was pressed, lunch me...

Barley's Smokehouse and Brewpub

Stopped by to try the new IPA and was dissappointed to learn of significant price increases. A pint of the IPA was nearly $7.00. I remember when they jacked their prices under the guise of a hops shortage. Do you think the prices came down after the hops inventory stablized?

I used to go to Barley's often but have found more reasonably priced...

Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery

Place was hopping on the Friday night I was there. Had the Pub Ale, first cask then off the tap. The was good but there was more than an inch of foam at the top. When you order a pint you should get a pint of beer. Pub Ale from the regular tops was fine. Also had the IPA. Very hoppy, filled your nose and then your mouth with hops. Well done....
